Sergeant Reed has served in the Air Force for 11 years. She has been stationed at McConnell for one year and five months. Her hobbies include spending time with her family, scrapbooking and being organized.

Who is the most positive influence in your life and why?
The most positive influence in my life is my husband and kids. My husband always tells me that I can do anything I want to do. Don't make excuses for not doing something. Everything that I do is for my kids. When they are older, their life will be a lot easier due to me and my husband setting a great foundation for them.

The second positive influence in my life is Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. He led the civil rights movement to end racial segregation. Without his efforts and the efforts of other leaders, thing would be a lot harder for African Americans today.

What would you like to accomplish during your Air Force Career?
I would like to become a positive enlisted member to new Airmen entering the Air Force. I would also like to complete my second Community College of the Air Force degree in the paralegal careerfield, finish my Bachelor's Degree in Legal Studies and apply in an Air Force commissioning program.

Where is the most interesting place you have traveled, and why do you feel that way?
One of the most interesting places I've visited is Afghanistan. During my five months there, I learned to be thankful for the things our country has.

What is your favorite book/movie and why?
My favorite book is the Bible. I love to learn about how God created all and the purpose he had in the world.

If you had the opportunity to meet anyone in the world, who would it be and why?
I would like to have met the late Rosa Parks. I would like to know what was going on in her mind the day she decided not to give up her seat. Her actions were the beginning of the Montgomery Boycott.
