McConnell highlights weekly spotlight performer

Sergeant Furlough has served in the Air Force for five years and six months. He has been stationed at McConnell for two years and six months. When he is not at work, he enjoys playing a variety of sports and spending time with his family.

Who is the most positive influence in your life and why?
My wife, Alexis, is the most positive influence in my life. She keeps me level and focused on the future. It's a good feeling to have someone by your side through the "ups and downs."

What would you like to accomplish during your Air Force Career?
My goal since high school is to become an Air Force officer.

Where is the most interesting place you have traveled and why do you feel that way?
The most interesting place I lived is Eielson AFB, Alaska. When I moved from Atlanta, Ga. to Alaska, there was a drastic climate change. I enjoyed all of the outdoor activities in there and the sightseeing was amazing.

What is your favorite book or movie and why?
My favorite book is "Do You!: 12 Laws to Achieve Happiness and Success, " by author and entrepreneur, Russell Simmons. It's a great guide for learning how to save money, achieving your own personal happiness and preparing for the future successfully. My favorite movie is "300;" I love action movies and Spartan 300 is a classic ... hands down.

If you have the opportunity to meet anyone in the world, who would it be and why?
I would like to meet our commander-in-chief - President Barack Obama. He has had an outstanding and inspirational road to the White House. I admire his confidence and the way he carries himself.
