Senior Airman Andrew Tiehes

Senior Airman Tiehes is from Jackson, Mo., and has been in the Air Force for three years and seven months. He has served at McConnell for three years. When he's not at work, he enjoys hunting, fishing, and paintballing.

What do you enjoy most about McConnell?
The wonderful support from the surrounding community and the great people I get to work with everyday.

Why is serving in the Air Force important to you?
I get to help put planes in the air every day.

What would you like to accomplish during your Air Force career?
I would like to get a degree.

Who is the most positive influence in your life and why?
My wife and daughter are my greatest influence, because they support me in everything I do, and their smiling faces can always turn a bad day into a good one.

What would you be most proud to tell your parents?
That I am glad I followed in my father and grandfather's footsteps, and that I am as proud of them as they are of me.

Pick a job you want and make your recruiter stick to it.
