A-76 Candidate Synopsis representatives announed

Lt. Gen. Christopher Kelly, vice commander of Air Mobility Command, is initiating a streamlined competition for the following squadrons and air wings: 436th Maintenance Operations Squadron, Dover Air Force Base, Del.; 317th Maintenance Squadron, Dyess AFB, Texas; 92nd Maintenance Operations Squadron, Fairchild AFB, Wash.; 319 Maintenance Operations Squadron, Grand Forks AFB, N.D; 6th Maintenance Squadron, MacDill AFB, Fla.; 22nd Maintenance Squadron, McConnell AFB, Kan.; 43rd Maintenance Squadron, Pope AFB, N.C.; 19th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron, Robins AFB, Ga; and 60th Maintenance Operations Squadron, Travis AFB, Calif., in accordance with the Office of Management and Budget Circular A-76. 

It affects a total of 40 DoD personnel: no officers, 35 enlisted, five appropriated fund civilians, and no non-appropriated fund; and no contract manpower equivalents. 

The competition began May 2 and is projected to be completed by Aug 1. 

The Congressional Districts and their elected representatives include the following: Dover AFB - Michael Castle, District 1, Delaware; Dyess AFB - Randy Neugebauer, District 19, Texas; Fairchild AFB - Cathy McMorris Rodgers, District 5, Washington; Grand Forks AFB - Earl Pomeroy, District 1, North Dakota; MacDill AFB - Kathy Castor, District 11, Bill Young, District 10, Florida; McConnell AFB - Todd Tiahrt, District 4, Kansas; Pope AFB - Bob Etheridge, District 2, Robin Hayes, District 8, North Carolina; Robins AFB - Jack Kingston, District 1, Jim Marshall, District 3, Georgia; and Travis AFB - Ellen Tauscher, District 10, California. 

The elected senators include the following: Joseph Biden and Thomas Carper, Delaware; John Cornyn and Kay Bailey-Hutchison, Texas; Maria Cantwell and Patty Murray, Washington; Kent Conrad and Byron Dorgon, North Dakota; Mel Martinez and Bill Nelson, Florida; Sam Brownback and Pat Roberts, Kansas; Richard Burr and Elizabeth Dole, North Carolina; Saxby Chambliss and Johnny Isakson, Georgia; and Barbara Boxer and Dianne Feinstein, California.
