22nd LRS innovations save $40,000
The 22nd Logistics Readiness Squadron Vehicle Management flight recently modified trucks to increase the safety of Airmen. Railings were built to guard the edges of the tailgate, where Airmen stand to load cargo into aircraft. The innovation will save the base approximately $40,000 by building the railings instead of purchasing them, as each truck will cost $300 to fix versus the projected $7,000 each.
