Team McConnell takes the KC-46 on its first extended mission
Members of Team McConnell fly a KC-46A Pegasus above another KC-46 during an extended mission in the Indo-Asia-Pacific region on Oct. 23, 2020. This was the first time the KC-46 had flown an extended a self-sustained mission into the region. Airman 1st Class Sasha Tucker, 22nd Force Support Squadron fitness journeyman, cleans a mirror Aug. 6, 2019, at McConnell Air Force Base, Kan. The center is cleaned daily by the team of 15 Airmen who, re-rack weights, ensure all equipment is sanitized and do laundry hourly. Familiarization taxiing training
Master Sgt. Arenda Jackson and Master Sgt. Scott Perkins, 931st Aircraft Maintenance Squadron crew chiefs, wait for the KC-46A Pegasus to begin taxiing Feb. 21, 2019, at McConnell Air Force Base, Kan. As a part of the familiarization period with the KC-46, aircrews began procedures for taxiing the aircraft around the airfield. The next step toward operationally refueling will be a test flight.
