MCCONNELL AIR FORCE BASE, Kan. -- The 22nd Medical Group accepts a check for $1 million from third party collections during the fiscal year 2008, Aug. 27. Reimbursements received from this program are used to mitigate funding shortfalls and enhance the healthcare provided to Team McConnell beneficiaries. Third party collections pay for state-of-the-art medical equipment upgrades, medical supplies, pharmaceuticals and also to provide quality of life enhancements for beneficiaries, such as the children’s play area adjacent to the family practice office. Reaching this landmark was a collective effort between 22nd MDG staff and patients.
