MCCONNELL AIR FORCE BASE, Kan. -- Faye Ripper and her husband Bill Ripper play a second round of bingo after winning a luggage bag containing an Air Force mug and notepad during the 22nd Force Support Squadron’s Retiree Bingo event at the Robert J. MCCONNELL AIR FORCE BASE, Kan. -- Tara Lloyd, wife of 2nd Lt. Anson Lloyd, 22nd Medical Support Squadron; Airman 1st Class Ruth Rogers, 22nd Logistics Readiness Squadron; and Apple Holder, wife of Staff Sgt. Andrew Holder, 22nd Maintenance Squadron, were named McConnell’s AMC Icon winners at the Robert J. Dole Community Center, Aug. 1. James Vechery, 22nd Air Refueling Wing commander, right, and Darla Cooper, base library director, left, explain the services available at the base library to a group of honorary commanders and a Golden Eagle during an Honorary Commander Orientation Day, Aug. 1. Honorary commanders are civilian leaders whose civic positions mirror that of McConnell’s group and squadron commanders.
