Kansas Airman Supports Wildfire Suppression Mission
U.S. Air National Guard Tech. Sgt. Chase Garza, assigned to the 184th Wing, Kansas Air National Guard, works with a joint-service team as a crew chief to suppress a wildland fire in western Kansas, Feb. 15-20, 2026. Garza deployed as part of a Kansas National Guard task force, leading a crew of Army Soldiers and an Airman in direct attack and mop-up operations to contain the fire and prevent reignition.
