James Sanders, 22nd Security Forces Squadron, embraces his eight-year-old daughter, Kaitlyn, and his wife, Charity, Dec. 25, after arriving at Wichita Mid-Continent Airport two weeks before his originally schedule return date from his deployment to Al Udeid Air Base, Qatar. METI man trains 22nd MDG medics
MCCONNELL AIR FORCE BASE, Kan. -- Medics administer real intravenous medication into METI, a high-tech, patient simulator Dec 24 at the base clinic. The human-like dummy responds to the treatment given by medics from a computer that controls his physical impulses. Bird’s worst enemy is aircraft’s best canine friend
Jet, the base’s bird strike dog, disturbs a flock of geese, Dec. 12, on a nearby landowner’s farm. Jet plays the role of predator to these fowl to permanently scare them away without physically hurting them.
