‘Mighty Eagles’ welcome local boy

Micah Wemmer’s, honorary 22nd Operations Support Squadron “Mighty Eagle,” receives a baseball hat from Lt. Col. Martin Daack, 22nd OSS commander, March 25, 2013, McConnell Air Force Base, Kan. Micah was chosen for the “Pilot for a Day” program through a partnership with Wesley Medical Center, Wichita, Kan. The intent of this program is to assist children throughout local communities who are fighting life-threatening illnesses or conditions by providing a day of fun and allowing for a break from the routine doctor and hospital visits.
