McConnell tornado response

A KC-135 Stratotanker takes off during from McConnell’s flightline April 14, 2012, McConnell Air Force Base, Kan. McConnell relocated 16 aircraft to Grand Forks AFB, N.D., after receiving severe weather warnings from the National Weather Service. The short-notice deployment showcased the base’s ability to rapidly move aircraft.
