A modern day ‘Rosie’

Senior Airman Kate Hytinen, 22nd Aircraft Maintenance Squadron aerospace propulsion journeyman, portrays the modern day “Rosie the Riveter” by being one of only three females at McConnell who perform engine maintenance on the flightline March 30, 2012, McConnell Air Force Base, Kan. Hytinen’s strong family ties with the military helped convince her to join the service and find the career that she loves. (U.S. Air Force photo/ Senior Airman Courtney Witt)
