McConnell opens its doors to landowners

Fourteen landowners who allow McConnell's safety officials to conduct the Bird Aircraft Strike Hazard program on their property visited McConnell Air Force Base Nov. 10, 2011. Landowners viewed the mission of the 22nd ARW and the BASH program firsthand. Since the implementation of the program, bird strikes have decreased by more than 30 percent.
