Team McConnell donates blood

Howard Mitchell, a local American Red Cross phlebotomist, draws blood from Master Sgt. Damon Barnett, 22nd Medical Support Squadron sonographer, at the Robert J. Dole Community Center July 30, 2010, McConnell Air Force Base, Kan. The Red Cross has a contract with the Air Force; for every five pints donated the Air Force will receive one credit. That one credit of blood is worth $250 donated back to the military. The more donations McConnell acquires the more money the Air Force receives to use to save as many Airmen’s lives as possible.
