Senior Airman Andrew Tiehes, 22nd Maintenance Squadron fabrication flight aircraft structural maintenance journeyman, places painter’s tape on the KC-135 Stratotanker static display in preparation to repaint the aircraft June 15, 2010, McConnell Air Force Base, Kan. In accordance with Air Force Instruction 84-103, U.S. Air Force Heritage Program, the fabrication flight maintains McConnell’s Air Park. More than 10 Team McConnell members with more than 90 gallons of paint helped the fabrication flight repaint the KC-135 Stratotanker and the B-47 Stratojet aircraft static display.
