AFRC assists military families

“My hero” dolls, Operation Rest pillowcases and the teddy bear program are family services offered by the Airman and Family Readiness Center at McConnell Air Force Base, Kan. “My hero” dolls and personalized pillowcases are for the families of servicemembers who are deployed, on a remote tour or at a temporary duty station more than 30 days. The teddy bear program gives bears to hospitalized or ill children and Air Force uniformed bears for Air Force children whose military parent has passed away while on active duty. All three programs are open to all active-duty, Guard and Reserve servicemembers. (U.S. Air Force photo/Senior Airman Maria Ruiz)
