Children tour McConnell through Starbase program

MCCONNELL AIR FORCE BASE, Kan. – Airman 1st Class Adam Lance, 22nd Civil Engineer Squadron Explosive Ordinance Disposal, instructs local students from various schools enrolled in the Kansas Starbase summer program on explosive ordinance disposal signs Aug 8. The Kansas Starbase goal is to improve students in the fourth, fifth and sixth grades interest in the areas of math, science and technology as well as instilling a sense of pride and personal accomplishment. The Air Force National Guard runs the Wichita area Kansas Starbase program with several different classes held throughout the school year and summer. (photo by Airman 1st Class Roy Lynch)
