A KC-135 Stratotanker refuels a B-52 Stratofortress, above Minnesota, July 31, 2016. Four of McConnell's KC-135s provided a non-stop flight for two B-52s to participate in Polar Roar, a mission held in the Arctic Circle. Polar Roar included three non-stop, simultaneous strategic bomber routes. The B-52s and B-2 Spirits demonstrated the ability to provide a flexible and vigilant long-range global-strike capability.
