Familiarization taxiing training

Master Sgt. Scott Perkins, 931st Aircraft Maintenance Squadron crew chief, pulls the chocks from underneath the KC-46A Pegasus before taxi Feb. 21, 2019, at McConnell Air Force Base, Kan. McConnell has taken various steps toward operationally flying the new aircraft, including facility improvements holding KC-46 simulators and a fuselage trainer. After all the procedures in the familiarization period are complete, McConnell will be able to operationally fly and refuel with the aircraft.
