22 CES revitalizes McConnell creek and protects infrastructure with revetment project

Airmen and civilians from the 22nd Civil Engineer Squadron, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, and Center for Environmental Management of Military Lands participate in a bank revetment project in a creek June 11, 2025, at McConnell Air Force Base, Kansas. A bank revetment uses trees to prevent erosion, which in this case was threatening the infrastructure of the approach lights on the southern tip of McConnell. (U.S. Air Force photo by Staff Sgt.
