Col COLONEL LEE M. NENORTAS

Colonel Lee M. Nenortas commands the 22d Medical Group at McConnell Air Force Base, Kansas. Col Nenortas provides operational command and control over three squadrons consisting of 276 personnel in a 90,000 square foot facility serving 12,000 beneficiaries with an annual operating budget of $12,000,000. He advises the wing commander, wing staff agencies, and three group commanders on medical contingency planning and all matters relating to medical care and readiness.

Colonel Nenortas was born in Cherokee, Iowa and grew up in Jupiter, Florida. He began his military career as a Diet Therapy Specialist in 1990, stationed at the 22nd Strategic Hospital, 22nd Air Refueling Wing, at March Air Force Base, California. He was commissioned in 1999 as a Medical Service Corps officer, holding various positions in managed care, resource management, medical logistics, and medical planning for special operations missions. Colonel Nenortas has deployed in support of numerous operations.
