Commander's Thanksgiving message

MCCONNELL AIR FORCE BASE, Kan. --  
Team McConnell,

I wish you all a very Happy Thanksgiving. Please remember to thank
those around you, friends and family, for all the love and support they have
provided. Also, remember those Airmen who cannot be with their friends and
families on Thanksgiving, and thank them for their enduring sacrifice.

This is a time to celebrate all we have accomplished. Team
McConnell, I thank you for all of your dedication and service to this great
Nation. Although some of you may have family in the local area, please
don't forget about those that have the potential to be alone. Reach out and
take care of those Airmen ....they are truly the backbone of our Air Force.

Be safe if you are traveling and remember to have a good weather
plan as the temperatures fall quickly this time of year. I look forward to
your safe return on Nov. 28 and finishing 2011 strong!
