McConnell IDS calls for feedback to enhance community Published March 21, 2014 By Ronald Draper 22nd Air Refueling Wing Community Support Coordinator MCCONNELL AIR FORCE BASE, Kan. -- Every two years, the Integrated Delivery System, comprised of base helping agencies, write a plan that encompasses big concerns and issues our McConnell community deals with on a daily basis. We urge you to tell us what's on your mind throughout the past year and help us accomplish this because we have a duty to meet the needs of our Airmen, families, and those who make up Team McConnell. We provide opportunities to take surveys that help identify your concerns. It's something base leadership takes seriously and is used to develop a Community Action Plan. Based on the results of our 2013 Community Assessment, we are gathering information now to identify what we should be focused on as we move through this year and into 2015. The base IDS wants to take this effort a little further this year and give the community the opportunity to provide direct feedback to our leaders. As of May 14, the IDS will hold a Caring for People Forum that allows many diverse groups to meet with our helping agencies and openly express what they feel leadership needs to be focused on to make life in our community better. The IDS will host several different forums designed to allow members of all ranks and categories to openly express their concerns without the feeling of being judged. You may be asked to be part of one of these diverse groups in April, and the IDS wants you to express what you feel base leadership should be focused on when it comes to taking care of our community. If you are not contacted to be part of one of the working groups, we still want to hear what's on your mind. Contact the wing Community Support Coordinator at 316-759-5923. The Caring for People Forum will help us uncover our community concerns and allow us to build a plan that makes McConnell more resilient, but that can only be done with your valuable feedback.
