22nd LRS Airman earns spotlight performer

As a spotlight performer, individuals are chosen by leadership for demonstrating one or more of the 22nd Air Refueling Wing commander's intents: Foster a culture of excellence ... Develop the next generation of leaders ... Set and achieve goals.

Airman 1st Class Jesus Cintron, 22nd Logistics Readiness Squadron fuels distribution technician, has been at McConnell for approximately three years.

Cintron job is directly involved with the McConnell mission by operating refueling equipment and transporting, filling and pumping gas to the tankers.

The Fajardo, Puerto Rico, native has been in the Air Force for more than two years and enjoys playing sports, especially baseball.

"Cintron exemplifies the three commander's intents by doing any task that he is given to the best of his ability," said Master Sgt. Joseph Dudley, 22nd LRS uels distribution NCO in charge. "He mentors newly assigned Airmen to the flight, helping them in any way that he can. The dedication that Cintron displays is an asset to the fuels flight and ultimately sets the example for our Airmen to follow."

Who is the most positive influence in your life and why?
The two most positive influences in my life are my grandfather and son. My grandfather raised me to be the person I am right now; he taught me how to be a good person, work hard, make sacrifices and to be respectful towards others. My son teaches me day-by-day that life means something and that I have something to fight for.

If you could give advice to a new Airman, what would it be and why?
I would give a new Airman the same advice I give to my fellow Airmen, and that is don't get in trouble, get your work done on time, do what you're supposed to do and most important -- study.

What is one goal that you have already accomplished, or would like to accomplish, during your Air Force career?
A goal I would like to accomplish during my Air Force career is complete my Community College of the Air Force degree and start on auctioneer schooling.

Where is the most interesting place you have traveled and why do you feel that way?
I haven't been to many places, but one place I thought was awesome was Mount Rushmore National Memorial, North Dakota. It's unbelievable that people can carve something so big out of something so hard.

If you had the opportunity to meet anyone in the world, who would it be and why?
If I could meet anyone in the world it would be George Strait because I think he is the best country singer of all time.
