As a spotlight performer, individuals are chosen by leadership for demonstrating the Air Force's Core Values: Integrity First, Service Before Self, and Excellence in All We Do.

Senior Airman Antonia Badea, 344th Air Refueling Squadron aviation resource manager, was selected as the 22nd Air Refueling Wing spotlight performer for the week of Feb. 10 through 14.

Badea is responsible for maintaining aircrew records and scheduling. She enlisted in May 2011 and joined Team McConnell in September 2011.

In her spare time, the Akron, Ohio native enjoys drawing and cosmetology.

"Badea was selected as the spotlight performer because she has overcome every challenge placed before her," said Master Sgt. Liv Hoornstra, 344th ARS operations superintendant. "She has taken advantage of leadership opportunities and led our aviation resource management shop without hesitations. She is a hard charging member of the 344th [ARS] and we are so proud to have her as a member of our winning team."

Who is the most positive influence in your life and why?
I would say my mom is the most positive influence in my life, she supports me in all the decision that I have made and she also pushes me to do better.

If you could give advice to a new Airman, what would it be and why?
Study, study, study and do not be afraid to ask for help if you don't know something. I say study because you want to pass your (Career Development Courses) and stay in the Air Force. Once you're done with that you can move on to college. Don't be afraid to ask questions because you're not going to know everything when you first get here and you have people who can point you in the right direction.

What is one goal that you have already accomplished, or would like to accomplish, during your Air Force career?
Starting school was a big accomplishment for me just because it requires you to do hands on things and not a lot of schools are able to be flexible with the tempo of your job. The next accomplishment for me will be finishing school.

Where is the most interesting place you have traveled and why do you feel that way?
I would say the most interesting place that I have been to would be "the Deid". The reason why is because the landscape was beautiful, the architecture of the buildings and castles were amazing, the malls were huge and the food tasted great.

If you had the opportunity to meet anyone in the world, who would it be and why?
If I could meet anyone in the world it would have to be Channing Tatum because he is a gorgeous man. Why wouldn't I want to meet him (joking but serious at the same time).
