The sixth of seven posters states most McConnell Airmen age 18 to 24 always or usually eat before and/or during their attendance at parties, bars and social gatherings where they might be consuming alcohol. The Social Norms project’s purpose is to enhance alcohol prevention training programs Air Force-wide and is currently being administered at eight installations with an estimated 8,500 Airmen participants. Rolling up sleeves for American Red Cross

'The heat is on' at McConnell
The summer heat has arrived at McConnell. To beat the heat and stay fit Airmen are recommended to drink one quart of water per hour under red or black flag conditions. Staying hydrated is a challenge during the summer, and the safety office encourages all Airmen to drink the correct amount of water and other healthy liquids to avoid heat illnesses such as heat stroke and heat exhaustion.
