A McConnell Airman marshals a KC-135 Stratotanker April 14, 2012, McConnell Air Force Base, Kan. Late Friday evening, the National Weather Service and McConnell’s Weather Flight issued weather alerts about severe weather approaching Wichita with a significant potential for heavy precipitation, three-quarter-inch hail and high probability of a tornado.
